Format

Times (two, 3-hour blocks per week) to work with Animal Care Program staff. Hands-on experience is obtained by working with staff in the day-to-day care and management of the Rutgers farm sheep and goat herds.

Description

Practical experience is provided in the daily care of sheep and goats. Formal lectures on animal products/production, nutrition, reproduction, behavior/welfare, health/diseases and field trips supplement and enhance the practical experience.

Examinations: Two graded exams will be given. Please see the syllabus for grading specifics.
