Description: The course provides an in-depth study of the husbandry and management of poultry. It will provide a solid understanding of the basic requirements for poultry management in a variety of settings based on the behavioral, anatomical, physiological, and health considerations of poultry animals. The course is appropriate for both novice and experienced poultry enthusiast. We will also explore the ins and outs of poultry production specifically in NJ.

Examinations/Grading: Based on in-class participation, two exams, a farm management plan, and an in-class presentation.
