Admission Requirements

You may apply online or download an application form at the Office of Graduate and Professional Admissions website or contact them at 18 Bishop Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901-8530 USA (telephone: (732) 932-7711; fax: (732) 932-8231).

In addition to the application form and application fee, the following supporting materials must be sent to the Graduate Admissions office by January 1 (all Ph.D. applicants from the U.S.; all international applicants; and all applicants interested in financial support) or March 15 (M.S. applicants from the U.S. not interested in financial support). Be sure to check the Graduate Admissions website for an up-to-date list of supporting materials and details.

  • Application form and application fee
  • Official transcripts
  • Test scores (GREs; TOEFL/IELTS if non-native speaker of English)
  • A personal statement
  • Letters of recommendation
  • A brief resume, if work experience is relevant to your application
  • Reprints of published papers, if any
  • Financial documentation, if you are an international applicant
