Alum Receives 2007 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from the Graduate School - New Brunswick Animal Science alum Karyn Malinowski, currently Director of Rutgers Cooperative Extension and Director of the Equine Science Center, is the 2007 recipient of the Graduate School–New Brunswick’s LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. To celebrate this honor, the Graduate Program in Animal Sciences and Rutgers Equine Science Center hosted a reception on March 2 in Bartlett Hall. |

The core of the graduate faculty are members of the Department of Animal Sciences. Their major areas of research include endocrinology and growth, equine science, and sustainable animal agriculture. Animal research models include horses, dairy cattle, goats, pigs, sheep, rats, poultry, and lizards. Faculty research laboratories are located in Foran Hall, which is the home of the Biotechnology Center for Agriculture and the Environment, and Bartlett Hall, both of which are located at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (formerly Cook College), Rutgers' agricultural and environmental college. Additional research facilities are located in the farm facilities of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station, Cook College. Graduate students come from throughout the United States as well as Brazil, China, India, and Spain. We welcome enthusiastic and inquisitive individuals from various academic backgrounds.
